EFT Basics: Get the Point? Part II – Facial Points
In this post we’ll cover five of the tapping points used in EFT. Use a light tapping motion, nothing that causes pain or bruising. Repeat either the phrase or the keyword (we’ll talk more about phrases and keywords in other posts) while you tap each spot to keep your focus. The number in parathesis’ are the designation of the point in the meridian channel.
We’ll start with the Bladder Point (BL2) located on the inner edge of the eyebrow. You can tap either side, or both, it doesn’t matter. The bladder point is a yang oriented. There are 67 points in the bladder channel, and the BL2 point is called Zuan Zhu, or “gathered bamboo”.
The next point is the Gallbladder (GB1), located between the eye and temple. This point is also yang oriented. There are 44 points in the gallbladder channel. The GB1 point is Tong Zi Liao, or “pupil crevice”.
In the area under the eye just below the pupil is the Stomach point (ST1). The stomach point is also yang oriented. There are 45 points in total within the stomach meridian, with the ST1 point named Cheng Qi, or “container of tears”.
The next two tapping points related to the two channels of the extraordinary vessels: The Du Mai and Ren Ma.
The Du Mai, aka the Governing Vessel (GV26)., uses the point between the nose and lips, this channel contains 28 acupuncture points, and runs primarily up and down the back. Point GV26 is Shui Gou or “water ditch”.
The Ren Ma, aka the Conception Vessel (CV24), uses the point between the lips and chin. This channel runs up and down the front of the body. The GV24 point is Cheng jiang, or “container of fluids”.
Our next post in this series will look at the tapping points located in the torso area of body, and their associated channels. Subscribe to the RSS feed to receive notification of upcoming articles!

EFT Basics: Get the Point?
EFT, emotional freedom technique, is easy to learn and use. There are no tools, and few rules. The key to EFT is putting together good phrases for tapping, and then using those phrases to tap the energy charge out of old patterns, beliefs, ideas, and experiences. There are specific “tapping points”, each one related to one of the energy meridian channels known in the practice of acupuncture and chinese medicine.
It can be challenging finding the cause and treatment for our internal issues. EFT is so simple in its design because you actually work on all 14 meridian channels with each “treatment”, taking out the guesswork. There’s no way to go wrong, for tapping clears the channels, helping to restore flow. Tapping will not “clog” the channels, or more clearly stated, you can’t do harm by tapping.
This series will cover the 14 meridian channels and the tapping point for each. Learning EFT is simple and easy, and in no time you will have the EFT basics and the tapping points down pat, and you’ll be phrasing and tapping in the car, in the shower, on the beach, anywhere and anytime!

Stress at Work: EFT Tapping for Relief Part III of III
(Continued from part III Stress at Work: EFT Tapping for Relief)
The intent behind EFT Tapping for Relief of Stress at Work is multi-purpose. First to identify, then to release, and third to relax and bring back the ability to breath. It is important that we not only clear the way, but refill that space with an acceptable, nourishing substance.
We live in an interactive work, so is it any wonder that at times we merge with those around us? How many times have you seen others (or yourself for that matter) take on the traits or expressions of those they are close to? Here are phrases you can use in tapping to define ‘your space’, and recognize your boundaries:
Defining Self vs Others
- “Even though I love to feel important when others need me, I will allow myself to recognize the importance of helping myself”
- “Though I forget to set boundaries for myself, I choose NOW to set those boundaries, with grace and forgiveness”
- “Even though others depend on me, I choose to return their energy to them, and regain my own energies”
Taking a Realistic Approach to Responsibility
- “Though I feel a sense of accomplishment when I solve problems, I know not all questions have immediate answers, and can let the universe find the solution for me”
- “Even if I overstep my sense of duty, and get weighed down by the problems of the day, I will allow myself to gently release at the end of the day, and regain my personal light”
- “Though I am paid to solve problems, I can allow myself to keep those problems in perspective, and find solutions that are healthy for everyone involved”
Reaction vs Response
- “I understand I stress when I am tired, and choose to recognize and respond to it rather than pushing forward and creating more stress”
- “Even though I expect too much from myself, and want to be a better person, I choose to forgive my shortcomings, and use this forgiveness to replenish”
- “Though I try to get as much done with my time as possible, I choose to recognize my ability to pace myself, and let myself refuel through breathing, stretching and rehydrating”

Stress at Work: EFT Tapping for Relief Part II of III
We’ve felt the affects of stress in our lives. Short tempers go along with short breaths. Holding onto our problems goes hand-in-hand with our trying to get our inner-world under control. We then compound our own inner turmoils with the struggles and lessons of those around us. It is very easy to absorb the energies of those around us by trying to help them or resisting their pleas for help.
Creating separation between your ‘inner world’ and your ‘outer world’ can work wonders in alleviating some of the stress you bring into your life. Through muscle testing and tapping you can identify your weak areas, strengthening and feeding the spirit and relaxing the mind.
For those who may not have heard of this technique prior, EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. What does this mean? Well, we can translate it in terms used in part one of this series: it means putting down the rock and releasing the stress that tires and weakens the body. Wow, that sounds great! Ready?
For those who do not know EFT, there are many great articles, books, videos and classes on EFT. I teach EFT along with other techniques at The Healing Drum Retreat. If you know EFT tapping already, then let’s start:
Here are the areas we will cover:
- Defining Self vs Others
- Taking a Realistic Approach to Responsibility
- Reaction vs Response

Stress at Work: EFT Tapping for Relief Part I of III
Stress is one of the most highly used words these days, and for good reason. Our strained relationship with stress causes emotional, mental, even physical breakdown. We create stress through frustration in our relationships, overloaded schedules, and our work environment. Stress at work can be hard on the mind, body and spirit, but we can release and relax through thoughtful tapping using EFT.
Stress is a natural occurrence in the body. When you lift you have stress. When you move you have stress. Any time you use the body you are creating stress, the contraction of muscles and use of energy through exertion. Here’s the catch: that natural occurrence is a combination of contraction and relaxation, and is also supported by our breath.
We cannot lift a large rock and hold it for extended periods of time, the body just will not tolerate that, and at some point the body will drop the rock and express itself through exhaustion.
Much of our stress these days is created through our thought processes and our mental activities. Are we supporting those processes through breathing? Quite the opposite: we sit at a desk, or turn spud-like on the couch, slouching at that so that even “at rest” breathing is diminished. Then we hold that thought like a bulldog. Bring it back to that rock held up over your head, at what point will you grow tired? At what point will you collapse, dropping that rock.. dropping it right on top of you.

EFT Tapping to land a Great Job
EFT is a simple technique, with unlimited possibilities. The secret is in the phrasing. Can you use EFT tapping to land a great job? Yes! EFT is all about clearing the pathways. When you tap, and by that I mean physically tapping on specific points on the body, you are sending signals and stimulating the energy meridian system. You are literally clearing a pathway. You can carry this same phrase, clearing a pathway, into your thoughts, beliefs, conditioning, and experiences. By clearing the energy charge (excess) or blocks (deficiencies) you create a free-flowing energy movement. It’s like taking off an energetic straight-jacket, stretching out your arms, and saying, “free at last”!
What phrases can you tap to help in landing a great job? Let’s use a combination of both specific and generalized questions to compile a list that you can later “tap” using the EFT protocol.
Do you have a specific job in mind? Maybe you have experience and training already. Let’s call it “widget assembly”, just for illustration purposes. Here are some test questions to muscle test:
- “I enjoy widget assembly” (y/n). If yes, rate it. Do you love the job? Tolerate it?
- “I want to work in widget assembly”
- “I believe widget assembly is a rewarding job”
- “I believe widget assembly has a good future for me”
Starting with those basic questions, such as “widget assembly work makes me happy”, or “I can be happy doing widget assembly” are powerful questions. Please note that those two happiness based questions are very different questions. The second is more empowering, while the first one places your happiness outside yourself. Play with your testing, change the phrases, and test again. You may be surprised in what you find.
You can use EFT tapping to land a great job, and one of the keys is to find the things you can appreciate about any job you might perform. Whether you are changing jobs, returning to something you know, or opening the pathways to new opportunities, you can begin that search with a happier outlook by using EFT to tap your way into a great career!

Using EFT to Get a Good Job
EFT, or emotional freedom technique, has been widely used over the years by many who want more control over their life circumstances. Many of us understand the act of empowerment, and as we continue to clear our energy systems of the limits we have carried we also experience the feeling in the name of this technique: freedom. Free-flowing energy. Translation: EFT does help in clearing the energy meridian system, the electrical system of the body.
So then how do we use EFT to get a good job? Ah, the million dollar question. Well, that’s a part of it, the million dollars. Many of us associate a good job with good money. Money is a key part of a job, and worthy of attention.
Years ago when I was faced with turmoil at a former job I decided to use the EFT technique I had learned as my “tool” to address the thoughts and feelings that were arising in me. I have many powerful techniques in my arsenal, but I chose to practice my EFT “tapping” and master this technique. I now teach this tool to others, and guide them in their phrasing, using my clairvoyance and intuitive skills as well for a deeper perspective.
My first step was to face the fear and other emotional reactions that were affecting me. As a clairvoyant I have great sensitivity to the energy of others, and so I used EFT to tap away the influences that appeared to be “outside influences”. Then I tapped on the my response of “I don’t want to deal with this”, and “even thought I feel threatened”. By using EFT tapping on my first response I was able to more comfortably address all the other areas I wanted to shift.
My next step was to ask the magic questions, using muscle testing for the true/false value of my questions. Here are some of the questions I asked myself: Do I believe I am worth the amount I am currently making? No? Tap!! Tap tap Tap! Fixed. I took it a step further. I tapped for an additional $5000 a year. Guess how much more I made the next year?
In this article I focused more on money than anything else, but let’s face it, for most of us good pay is a strong part of our reasoning about what makes a good job great. You can use EFT to get a good job, to increase your financial receptivity, to clear your communication and improve your current job conditions. This technique is easy to use, and only takes a few minutes of your time. Happy tapping!

EFT – Tapping Release and Instant Relief
Emotional Freedom Technique has not been around that long, but it certainly has made a positive impact on thousands of lives! This technique, knowing as EFT “tapping”, can help you quickly and easily release pain, trauma, and concepts that block happiness and well-being.
EFT works with the energy meridian system and the ancient system of Chinese medicine. The meridian system consists of 14 sets of acupuncture points in the body, each related to a specific function of the body. Many meridian points are associated with major organs such as the liver, heart & pericardium, spleen, kidneys, and bladder. The meridian system also covers many aspects of the digestive system, such as the stomach, small intestine and large intestine. There are other areas that seem unusual to us in western medicine: the triple warmer, governing vessel, and conception vessel.
Holistic health focuses on restoring health to all aspects of our existence: body, mind, emotion and spirit. Events in our lives or even repeated thought patterns can create energy “speed bumps” that cause binding within our energy flow. The meridian system is an energy or electrical system, and the energy flow has been detected and measured with modern electrical equipment. EFT tapping helps restore the flow to these meridians, promoting health and wellness.
The EFT protocol begins by identifying the topic. Once the topic or issue is identified it is carried into an affirming and releasing statement, repeated while “tapping” on 14 points on the body. Many who have used EFT tapping have reported instant changes, and a feeling of happiness. With the release occurring on so many levels, some move so quickly from their previous issue and forget the topic they are tapping.
EFT Tapping is effective, easy, and does not require equipment, supplements or medications. It is non-intrusive and gentle on the physical body. Even used as a supplement to other treatment methods, EFT tapping can bring release and instant relief.

Menopause Relief Through EFT Tapping
Menopause is one of the major changes in a woman’s life. Thinking of it as a transition, a shift of energy flow, there are many thoughts and ideas. There is a big physical change as well. Menopause has been treated effectively with acupuncture, and also acupressure, the non-needle version of acupuncture. Can EFT tapping, which focuses on the same meridian system as acupuncture, help in menopause symptom relief?
Many have found EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique, to be a useful tool in many areas. While the name seems to direct our thoughts toward only emotional issues, it’s been found that this simple series of techniques can be used in other areas of life: career, relationships, self image, even physical challenges such as allergies.
The great thing about EFT is that there are no side effects, and you can’t create negative results with EFT. The only investment is the time it takes to walk through the simple steps. You can learn EFT quickly and easily, and use this technique anytime and anywhere.
EFT “tapping” can be used for the re-balancing of the energy flow in the body, which can help alleviate bloating, cramps, and hot flashes. Anyone who has experienced hot flashes will tell you they are annoying and can interfere with sleep and daily activities! You can focus on the specific symptom, and also tap on your reaction or emotional responses, the frustration, and any underlying cause of the imbalance that causes the symptoms.
You can also use EFT for the transition and your interpretation on how it effects your life. This can be a healing type release of old emotional energies, or a welcoming of the transition. EFT “tapping” is a great way to refresh and renew on many levels.
EFT may not be the cure-all for menopause symptoms and complications, but it can certainly help. There are supplements, essential oils, exercises, diet considerations, and other methods to help with the management of menopause.
Estee Taschereau combines medical intuitive and clairvoyant reading skills along with the EFT techniques to assist others in assessing and releasing blocks to happy living.
